Terms of service for using Apartemo

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Apartemo's property management platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Apartemo provides a cloud-based property management platform that enables landlords, property managers, and agencies to manage properties, tenants, maintenance, financial reporting, and related activities.

3. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service
  • One person or legal entity may not maintain more than one free account
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account

4. Subscription and Payments

4.1 Pricing

Subscription fees are stated on our pricing page. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing customers.

4.2 Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance
  • Payment is due on the subscription start date
  • All fees are non-refundable except as required by law
  • Failed payments may result in service suspension

4.3 Free Trial

Free trials are subject to limitations and may be converted to paid subscriptions. Credit card information may be required.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Upload malicious code or malware
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
  • Use the Service for illegal or fraudulent purposes
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Scrape, copy, or reverse engineer the Service

6. Your Data

6.1 Data Ownership

You retain all rights to your data. We do not claim ownership of any data you upload to the Service.

6.2 Data Backup

While we perform regular backups, you are responsible for maintaining your own backup copies of your data.

6.3 Data Deletion

Upon account termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days unless required to be retained by law.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all software, designs, text, graphics, and other content, is owned by Apartemo and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works without our written permission.

8. Service Availability

  • We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access
  • Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible
  • We are not liable for service interruptions beyond our control

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apartemo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Apartemo harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
